Unleashing the Many Layers of Abstract Painting with Acrylic Glass and Canvas

Releasing a New Body of Work in my Oeuvre

Over the next few weeks I will reveal three abstract paintings that I completed New Years Eve of 2020. Allowing my subconscious to do the work, it wasn't too surprising that confinement became the theme of these three paintings yet, the color palette suggests work laced with hope and optimism, toss in a little gratitude for things we now perhaps take less for granted and voila! a new style of painting is born.

One of three is included within this Newsletter. An extension of my efforts to find new ways to layer and compose works of art that are both two and three dimensional. With a strong inward sense to recycle and reuse, these mixed media abstracts incorporate single panes of clear acrylic class, painted on the front and back side, layered again with house paint, acrylic paint, oil pastel sticks, markers, spray paint and whatever else I might come across to make the work interesting and inventive. I do hope you enjoy!
