Quarantine Unleashed. Two of Three.

Two of Three
New Abstract Painting Released

Completed New Years Eve of 2020. Allowing my subconscious to do the work, it wasn't too surprising that confinement became the theme of these three paintings yet, the color palette suggests work laced with hope and optimism. Toss in a little gratitude for things taken less for granted and voila! a new style of painting is born.

These abstract paintings are an extension of my efforts to find new ways to layer and compose works of art that are both two and three dimensional. With a strong inward sense to recycle and reuse, these mixed media abstracts incorporate single panes of clear acrylic class, painted on the front and back side, layered again with house paint, acrylic paint, oil pastel sticks, markers, spray paint and whatever else I might come across to make the work interesting and inventive.

I do hope you enjoy!
